I have been unwell over the winter and thought it wise to cancel all Shows/Events and Open Days in 2019 to concentrate on my recovery. This has proved a sensible move, and I am now definitely on the mend.
All our irises are available for sale via our online shop and if there are things you want that you cannot find, please do get in touch and I will do all I can to help.
Interest in our irises remains strong. We believe we offer something different that sets us apart from the marketplace. Our irises are highly distinctive, and with a combination of great branching and clear clean colours, they provide real impact both close up and from a distance. The clear clean colours are in sharp contrast to much of what is currently available commercially and the branching is largely absent from most commercial varieties. Remember too that our irises are also tried and tested in UK conditions.
Irises as Cut Flowers
We have been encouraged by the renewed interest in British cut flowers and have been trialling our irises in 2019 with several members of ‘Flowers from the Farm’.
Initial responses are encouraging and this is something that we will pursue further. We think it is also a great way to promote British Irises.
Naming Irises
The draw for the right to name an iris fell victim to my illness over the winter. This will be reactivated later this year, albeit one year later than planned.
2020
I am thinking hard about what we do in 2020, and plan to update you further in the Autumn.
New Varieties
We have several new irises that will be made available for the first time next year. This is an exciting development.
Finally, thank you for your patience. I am sorry that we were not at Hampton Court, as planned, but there is always next year!
