Ice Pinnacle
Discover Ice Pinnacle a White Lavender Bearded Iris from our Award Winning Collection of British Irises.
Building your Iris Collection
Start building your collection of ‘Cool’ irises to include different shades of blue (lighter and darker) and the whites.
Ice Pinnacle is a tremendous Iris with great style and structure and amazing branching; a classic ‘Amoena’ (white standards and lavender blue falls). This is an unusual and dramatic colour combination, but soft and subtle, making it a plant of real sophistication and distinction.
This iris flowered spectacularly in different locations throughout 2023, and was, without any doubt, one of the iris highlights of my year.
Another early flowering variety, I can see it across the other side of the garden and always look forward the fist blooms with much anticipation. It is one of my favourite irises and a must for those who like clear clean cool colours. It is named after the peaks in the High Alps.
Ice Pinnacle is great as a stand alone iris, or plant in blocks/drifts for real impact. Early-season flowering.
Mixing with other Colours
These ‘Dodsworth’ irises combine clear clean colours, great branching and perfect flower shape to create a ‘Perfect’ Iris. Understand why these largely single colour irises mix so well with other colours groups to give you real scope to design your own distinctive colour palette.
Plant this White lavender Bearded Iris with all colour groups ‘Cools’, ‘Softs’ and ‘Hots’ making it a most versatile plant.
Planting with Pinks
Remember how useful ‘Pinks’ are in this context, spanning the early/mid/ late flowering periods. Because of this they give you so many options to extend the iris season. Eileen Louise flowers early, Catherine Seville in mid-season, and both Sherwood Pink and Century Pink are late, very late.
Registered by Bryan Dodsworth in 1997. 44”(112cm), white self, lavender falls; beards white.Sophisticated fragrance.
