Annabel Jane
Introducing Annabel Jane, a stylish Lavender Pink Bearded Iris, from our Award Winning Collection of British Bearded Irises.
Building Your Iris Collection
A true classic, a ‘must have’ iris. Hardy, vigorous, completely bombproof and spectacular with exquisite flowers, performing just as well as it did forty years ago. Some say one of the very best irises my father raised.
This iris is the star in my garden that never fails to please and never lets me down.
If you have space in your garden for only one iris, in my opinion this is the iris to choose.
Mixing with other Colours
Our Irises combine clear clean colours, great branching and perfect flower shape to create a ‘Perfect’ Iris.
Annabel Jane is one of the ‘Softs’, the most versatile group in the Collection. This makes it a much cherished plant.
This Lavender Pink Bearded Iris is perfect on its own and mixes well with all Colour Groups: other ‘Softs’ (Pale Yellow and Pinks), ‘Cools’ (Blues/Whites) and the ‘Hots’ (Deep Yellows/Oranges/Browns). It is a highly versatile plant.
Registered by Bryan Dodsworth in 1973 and named after his daughter, Annabel, and earning a Dykes Medal in 1977, the first of twelve. 48” (122cm). Standards pale lilac, falls medium lilac.
